What it does
"Blow Up" isn't an official Magic keyword or ability—it's casual slang players use for destroying or sacrificing a permanent, usually a land or artifact. When someone says they'll "blow up" your mana rocks or "blow up the board," they mean removal: cards like Vandalblast, Blasphemous Act, or Strip Mine. It's flavor talk, not rules text.
The common confusion is treating it like a defined mechanic—it isn't, so it has no fixed rules. What "blowing up" actually does depends entirely on the specific card: "destroy" can be stopped by indestructible, "sacrifice" bypasses indestructible and hexproof, and "exile" dodges regeneration and death triggers entirely.
