What it does
"Sneak" isn't a standard Magic keyword—you're likely thinking of "Sneak Attack," the iconic red enchantment that lets you pay
to put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield. That creature gains haste, but you sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step. It's a way to cheat big creatures into play and swing immediately before losing them.
The nuance people miss: the sacrifice happens at the next end step, so a creature sneaked in on your turn dies at your own end step—you get one attack. Sneaking something in during an opponent's turn (at instant speed via the activated ability) gets you a surprise blocker, but it still dies that turn.
In Commander, Sneak Attack pairs with creatures that have powerful enter-the-battlefield triggers or that leave value behind, since you only get them temporarily. Avoid using it on creatures whose value requires sticking around.
