What it does
Undaunted is a cost reducer found on a handful of spells: when you cast a spell with Undaunted, its cost is reduced by
for each opponent you have. In a typical four-player Commander game, that's a
discount, which makes these spells dramatically cheaper than in 1-on-1 formats.
The key nuance: Undaunted only counts opponents, not total players, and it counts them as the spell is cast. If players have been eliminated, your discount shrinks accordingly—so these cards are weakest in the late game when it's down to you and one foe. Also, the reduction only applies to the generic portion of the cost; it can't reduce colored mana requirements.
In Commander, Undaunted shines early in multiplayer pods, letting you deploy efficient effects (like Bedevil or Vona's Hunger) ahead of curve. Just remember its value evaporates as opponents die.
