What it does

Exploit lets a creature with the ability sacrifice a creature when it enters the battlefield, usually triggering a bonus effect (like making an opponent lose cards or life). You may sacrifice the exploiting creature itself, or any other creature you control—including tokens. The most common mistake: exploit is optional, and it's a separate trigger from "when this creature exploits a creature." The creature enters, then you choose whether to sacrifice. If you don't exploit, the payoff effect doesn't happen. Also note the sacrifice and the reward are two different triggers, which matters for stacking and responses—opponents can respond to the exploit trigger before you've actually sacrificed. In Commander, exploit shines with sacrifice synergies: pair it with death triggers, token generators, or creatures you want in the graveyard. It also dodges some removal by letting you sacrifice a creature before it's exiled.
