Bronzebeak Foragers

Creature — Dinosaur

WhiteLegalRank #3,936

When this creature enters, for each opponent, exile up to one target nonland permanent that player controls until this creature leaves the battlefield.

: Put target card with mana value X exiled with this creature into its owner's graveyard. You gain X life.

Why is this card good?

Bronzebeak Foragers is a white removal-on-a-body that punches well above its rarity in multiplayer. For four mana, you temporarily exile a nonland permanent from each opponent — that's potentially three artifacts, enchantments, planeswalkers, or creatures gone at once, which is exceptional rate for a color that usually trades 1-for-1. The kicker is the ability: in flicker or sacrifice decks, you can permanently dump those exiled cards into graveyards (and gain life) before the Foragers leaves play, turning temporary removal into a board wipe that opponents can't get back. Wants it: - White blink/flicker decks (Roon, Eluge, anything with Conjurer's Closet/Restoration Angel) to re-trigger the ETB. - Aristocrats/sacrifice shells that can ditch the body on command to lock cards out permanently. - Group-removal stax builds needing flexible answers. Skip it in decks with no flicker, sac, or graveyard synergy — without those, opponents just get their permanents back when this dies, making it a fragile, easily-removed speed bump.

If Bronzebeak Foragers leaves the battlefield before its first ability resolves, none of the target permanents will be exiled.

  • 2023-11-10

Auras attached to the exiled permanents will be put into their owners' graveyards. Any Equipment will become unattached and remain on the battlefield. Any counters on the exiled permanents will cease to exist. When the cards return to the battlefield, they will be new objects with no connections to the cards that were exiled.

  • 2023-11-10

If a token is exiled this way, it will cease to exist and won't return to the battlefield.

  • 2023-11-10

If an exiled permanent card leaves exile, perhaps because of Bronzebeak Foragers's last ability, it won't return to the battlefield after Bronzebeak Foragers leaves the battlefield.
