What it does
Forestcycling is a variant of cycling: you pay the listed cost and discard the card from your hand, but instead of drawing a card, you search your library for a Forest card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle. It's an activated ability you use from your hand, not while the card is on the battlefield.
The common mistake is thinking it fetches any land or only basic Forests. It searches for a card with the Forest land type, so dual lands and shocklands with "Forest" in their type line (like Breeding Pool or Stomping Ground) are valid targets, not just basic Forests. It also goes to your hand, not the battlefield—you still have to play the land normally.
In Commander, it adds flexibility to lands-matter and green ramp decks: a creature or spell that's dead in your hand can instead smooth out mana, fix colors, or fetch a key untapped dual.
