Land — Swamp Forest

As this land enters, you may pay 2 life. If you don't, it enters tapped.
Why is this card good?
Overgrown Tomb is the gold-standard fixing for any Golgari (BG) deck, and there's almost never a reason to leave it out.
The key advantages come from its land typing: it's literally a Swamp Forest. That means it's fetchable by Verdant Catacombs, Bayou-style duals, and Farseek/Nature's Lore-type effects that grab basic land types. It also turns on cards that care about Swamps or Forests, and dodges most nonbasic hate. The "pay 2 life or enter tapped" clause is trivially flexible — life is a resource you can afford to spend for an untapped turn-one dual.
Who wants it: Any deck with black and green in its identity. Golgari graveyard/reanimator, aristocrats (Meren, Korvold), elves, and BUG/Jund/Sultai shards all run it without thinking.
When to skip it: Only if you're mono-color, or in a hyper-aggressive low-life shell where the 2-life tax genuinely matters (rare). Otherwise, it's an auto-include staple — boring, efficient, and exactly what your manabase wants.
