The Commander

Other Elf creatures have forestwalk. (They can't be blocked as long as defending player controls a Forest.)

Other Elves have shroud. (They can't be the targets of spells or abilities.)

Guide

Gameplan

A mono-green Elf tribal deck that floods the board with Elves, ramps explosively via mana dorks, and converts that mana into overwhelming attacks or a combo finish. Eladamri grants all your other Elves shroud, making your board nearly immune to targeted removal while forestwalk pushes through unblockable damage. Turn to turn you deploy elves, build a massive mana engine, then alpha strike or untap into a game-ending payoff.

Strengths

  • Shroud on every other Elf makes your engine pieces and threats resistant to targeted removal and stax effects
  • Forestwalk makes attacks effectively unblockable against most green-touching opponents
  • Mono-green Elf tribal ramps faster than almost any other archetype, enabling explosive turns
  • Cheap commander at 2 mana that comes down early and immediately matters

Weaknesses

  • Shroud cuts both ways: you can't target your own Elves with buffs, protection, or saviors like auras and combat tricks
  • Highly vulnerable to board wipes and mass removal since shroud doesn't stop sweepers
  • Mono-green lacks interaction—few answers to opposing combos, fliers, or enchantments
  • Forestwalk does nothing against opponents not running Forests or basics
  • Eladamri himself can be targeted and removed, collapsing your protection

Key Cards

  • Priest of Titania — Taps for green per Elf, the backbone of explosive Elf ramp and now untargetable under Eladamri.
  • Elvish Archdruid — Anthems your Elves and ramps based on Elf count, fueling huge mana and bigger attacks.
  • Craterhoof Behemoth — The classic mono-green finisher that turns your wide Elf board into lethal trample damage.
  • Heritage Druid — Tap three Elves for mana to chain spells and storm out your hand explosively.
  • Sword of the Paruns — With enough Elf mana-producers it untaps for infinite mana alongside Priest of Titania or Archdruid.
  • Elvish Promenade — Doubles your Elf count, widening the board and powering every Elf-count payoff.

Upgrade Path

Add fast mana and tutors like Worldly Tidings substitutes—Green Sun's Zenith, Chord of Calling, and Sylvan Library—to find your combo pieces consistently. Build a redundant infinite-mana package (Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Wirewood Channeler, plus Umbral Mantle and Staff of Domination) with a finisher like Walking Ballista or Finale of Devastation. Round out with Heroic Intervention and Boseiju, Who Endures to protect against board wipes, the deck's biggest weakness.
