Guide
Gameplan
Freyalise generates Elf Druid mana dorks every turn with +2, snowballing your mana base into a flood of green creatures, then dumping that mana into huge threats or her -6 to refill your hand. You play a mono-green Elves/ramp deck that builds a wide board and overwhelms with sheer size and card advantage.
Strengths
- Steady token and mana generation that ramps you ahead of the table
- Her -2 gives mono-green rare access to artifact/enchantment removal
- Free protection in the command zone—she's hard to kill and replaces herself
- Synergizes perfectly with Elf tribal and green-creature payoffs
Weaknesses
- Planeswalker loyalty is vulnerable to creature swings and direct attacks
- Mono-green struggles with flyers, evasion, and interacting on the stack
- No native card draw without reaching her -6 ultimate
- Token swarm folds to board wipes, resetting your mana
Key Cards
- Craterhoof Behemoth — Turns your wide Elf/token board into a one-shot kill with overrun.
- Priest of Titania — Scales mana off every Elf, including Freyalise's tokens, enabling explosive turns.
- Elvish Archdruid — Anthems your Elves and taps for massive green mana to fuel big plays.
- Heroic Intervention — Protects your board and Freyalise from wraths and targeted removal.
- Beast Whisperer — Adds the card draw mono-green needs by rewarding your dense creature count.
- Cabal Coffers — Pairs with green ramp doublers, but more importantly green's Nykthos-style mana sinks pay off her tokens.
Upgrade Path
Add fast mana like Sol Ring, Gaea's Cradle, and Cradle-adjacent payoffs (Nykthos, Wirewood Channeler) to spike your mana ceiling, and tutors like Worldly Tutor or Green Sun's Zenith to find Craterhoof reliably. Improve protection with Asceticism and Heroic Intervention, and add recursion like Eternal Witness so board wipes don't end the game. Tighten the curve toward a fast Elfball combo finish with Elvish Archdruid plus untappers for infinite mana.
