Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
The Commander
Haste
: Create a token that's a copy of target nonlegendary creature you control, except it has haste. Sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.
Guide
Gameplan
Kiki-Jiki untaps and copies nonlegendary creatures for value or to assemble a combo kill. Early turns ramp into Kiki, then you either grind ETB/attack triggers via repeatable copies or untap Kiki with a partner creature to make infinite hasty tokens and swing for lethal. Mono-red gives you fast mana, untappers, and burn backup.
Strengths
- Compact two-card infinite-token combos that close games immediately
- Cheap to assemble in mono-red with strong fast mana and rituals
- Doubles powerful ETB/attack triggers for huge value engines
- Haste means tokens attack the turn they're made
Weaknesses
- Kiki dies to nearly any removal and must survive a turn cycle to tap
- Summoning sickness on Kiki the turn he enters delays the combo
- Mono-red lacks card draw, tutors, and interaction compared to other colors
- Combo pieces are obvious and easily disrupted by a single removal spell or untap response
Key Cards
- Zealous Conscripts — Copy untaps Kiki to make another Conscripts—infinite hasty attackers for the kill.
- Combat Celebrant — Its exert grants extra combat steps; copies loop into infinite combats and attackers.
- Dualcaster Mage — A backup infinite-copy engine and protective piece that combos with copy spells too.
- Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker — The engine itself; protecting and untapping it is the whole deck's axis.
- Sword of the Animist — Mono-red ramp/fixing that keeps you accelerating toward Kiki and through removal.
Upgrade Path
Add more untap enablers and protection (Deceiver Exarch via mono-color staples are blue, so lean on Zealous Conscripts, Combat Celebrant, Dualcaster Mage and haste-granters) plus impulse draw like Outpost Siege and Wheel of Fortune to refill. Improve mana with Jeska's Will, Mana Geyser, and Goblin Engineer/tutors such as Imperial Recruiter and Gamble to find combo pieces. Finally, add cheap protection and recursion (Lightning Greaves, Boros Charm-style indestructible effects, and Faithless Looting/Feldon to rebuy creatures) so a single removal spell doesn't end your plan.
