Why is this card good?

Path to Exile is the gold standard for white spot removal in Commander. One white mana to exile any creature at instant speed — no destroy, no damage, no toughness restrictions. It hits indestructible commanders, graveyard-recursion threats, and anything else white normally struggles with. Exile (not destroy) is exactly what you want against decks abusing death triggers or reanimation. The drawback — ramping your opponent a basic land — is mostly irrelevant in a four-player game. You're trading a card and a mana to neutralize a key threat; a tapped Plains rarely matters, and savvy opponents sometimes decline to search. Who wants it: essentially every white deck. It's a staple in midrange, control, stax, and anything that wants efficient interaction. Premium in faster/competitive pods where tempo and answering combo pieces is critical. When to skip it: if you're a heavy ramp-punishing or land-matters opponent's nightmare and worried about enabling landfall/ramp decks, or in grindy 40-life slogs where Swords to Plowshares' lifegain matters less than dodging the land. Otherwise, run it.
