Whenever one or more tokens you control attack a player, exile the top card of your library. During any turn you attacked with a token, you may play that card.
Flood the board with creature tokens, then swing wide—your attacking tokens all gain double strike, doubling your damage output and turning small tokens into real threats. Each combat with tokens exiles cards off the top of your library that you can play that turn, refueling your hand to outpace removal. You win by overwhelming the table with go-wide aggression backed by relentless impulse-draw card advantage.
Double strike on all attacking tokens makes even 1/1s hit for serious damage and synergizes with anthems and trample
Built-in card advantage every combat keeps your gas flowing in aggressive RW, which normally runs out of cards
Cheap four-mana commander that immediately impacts the board and rewards going wide
Excellent with token doublers, anthem effects, and Boros aggro support
Vulnerable to board wipes—your whole strategy can be reset in one card
Relies on resolving and protecting token generators; a slow start leaves Neyali exhausted
No built-in evasion beyond double strike, so big blockers and fogs slow you down
Card advantage is impulse-style, so it can be lost to discard timing and counts on actually attacking each turn
Snowballs your whole token army with +1/+1 counters every time a creature enters.
Add more token doublers (Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Parallel Lives) and anthems (Intangible Virtue, Cathars' Crusade) to maximize each combat's damage and Neyali's exile-draw. Improve mana with fast rocks and lean into overrun finishers like Craterhoof analog Bramble Sovereign or mass-pump effects, plus protective pieces like Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention to beat wraths. Tighten the curve so you reliably go wide by turn three or four and capitalize on Neyali's card flow before opponents stabilize.
