Aurelia, the Law Above
The Commander
Flying, vigilance, haste
Whenever a player attacks with three or more creatures, you draw a card.
Whenever a player attacks with five or more creatures, Aurelia deals 3 damage to each of your opponents and you gain 3 life.
Guide
Gameplan
Deploy a wide, fast board of creatures and attack every turn to trigger Aurelia's card draw and Pinger ability. You snowball card advantage off go-wide aggression while the 5-attacker trigger pings opponents for life-drain damage that closes games. Aurelia herself is an evasive haste beater that also rewards your opponents' attacks since the triggers say 'a player.'
Strengths
- Refills your hand every combat once you have three attackers, beating the go-wide deck's classic card-starvation problem
- Aurelia comes down with haste and immediately pressures, with flying/vigilance keeping her relevant on both ends
- The 5-attacker trigger is a repeatable group-drain that punishes the whole table and stabilizes your life total
- Triggers off any player attacking, so politically you can benefit from others' aggression too
Weaknesses
- Heavily reliant on a developed board, so board wipes set you back hard
- Vulnerable to fogs, ground-stalling, and Propaganda/Ghostly Prison effects that tax attacks
- Boros lacks ramp and card draw outside the combat triggers, so a slow start hurts
- If Aurelia is removed repeatedly, the deck loses its engine and grindy reach
Key Cards
- Heroic Reinforcements — Instantly adds two hasty tokens to push your attacker count to three-plus and trigger draws the turn you cast it.
- Hour of Reckoning — A one-sided convoke wrath that clears blockers while leaving your wide board to swing for full triggers.
- Skullclamp — Turns your small tokens into a relentless card-draw engine that complements Aurelia's combat draws.
- Assemble the Legion — Generates an ever-growing army that reliably hits the three- and five-attacker thresholds every turn.
- Impact Tremors — Adds incremental drain damage that stacks with Aurelia's pings as your tokens enter.
- Anointed Procession — Doubles every token you make, accelerating you to the five-attacker trigger far faster.
Upgrade Path
Add fast mana and token doublers (Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives) plus a finisher like Craterhoof Behemoth or Triumph of the Hordes to convert width into lethal. Tighten the curve with cheap haste enablers and protect Aurelia with Swiftfoot Boots and Teferi's Protection against wraths. Improve card flow with Skullclamp, Welcoming Vampire, and Mentor of the Meek so empty hands never stall your aggression.

Win Conditions
- ▸Repeated Aurelia 5-attacker pings draining each opponent for 3 every turn
- ▸Alpha strike with anthem/overrun effects like Craterhoof Behemoth or Cathars' Crusade
- ▸Death-trigger drain (Impact Tremors, Bastion of Remembrance) grinding the table out
Archetypes
- Tokens / Go-Wide Aggro — The triggers explicitly reward attacking with three and five creatures, so flooding the board is the core plan.
- Aristocrats — Sacrifice payoffs like Impact Tremors and Bastion of Remembrance turn your wide expendable board into recurring drain.
- Anthem Aggro — Stacking anthems and overrun effects converts the wide board Aurelia builds into lethal combat damage.
