Why is this card good?
Sulfur Falls is a premium dual land for any Izzet (UR) deck, and the reason it sits so high on EDHREC is simple: it usually enters untapped. By the time you have a basic Island or Mountain in play — which is most of the time after turn one or two — it's effectively a painless untapped dual. No life loss like shocks or pain lands, no fetchable downside, just clean fixing.
It belongs in essentially every two-color UR deck: spellslinger commanders like Niv-Mizzet, storm shells, Izzet artifacts, and anything wanting consistent double-pip access to both colors. The "buddy land" cycle is a staple for budget-conscious and high-power lists alike.
The only real knock: it doesn't fetch as a Lake/Mountain hybrid type, and it can whiff turn one if your opener has no basics. In very greedy three-plus-color manabases where you can't guarantee a basic Island or Mountain, it gets shakier — but in dedicated UR, it's an easy include.
