Why is this card good?
Terramorphic Expanse is the budget backbone of two-or-more-color manabases. It's essentially a slow Evolving Wilds clone — fetch any basic, enters tapped, shuffle your library. The value is consistency: it fixes colors, thins a card from your deck, and counts as a fetch trigger for landfall and shuffle effects.
Why play it: It's free, fixes any two-plus colors, and synergizes with landfall payoffs (Lotus Cobra, Tatyova), domain, and "search a basic" tutoring like Crucible loops. It also enables shuffle effects (Brainstorm, Scroll Rack) and graveyard recursion of basics. Great in any budget multicolor deck.
When to skip it: The "enters tapped" clause is real tempo loss in fast or competitive decks — you want untapped duals, shocks, or true fetches there. Mono-color decks gain almost nothing from it; just run a basic. Decks heavy on nonbasic-matters or off-color splashes get less mileage since it only grabs basics.
Solid, unexciting glue — play it when budget or fixing demands, upgrade when you can afford it.
