Ambrosia Whiteheart
The Commander
When Ambrosia Whiteheart enters, you may return another permanent you control to its owner's hand.
Landfall — Whenever a land you control enters, Ambrosia Whiteheart gets +1/+0 until end of turn.
Guide
Gameplan
Ambrosia is a cheap, flash-in white aggro/value engine: cast her at instant speed, bounce a permanent to dodge removal or recur an ETB, then turn extra land drops into commander-damage beats. You play a lands-matter aggro shell that ramps lands into play, swings with a steadily growing flier, and uses the bounce trigger as repeatable utility every time she re-enters.
Strengths
- Flash + evasion makes her a flexible, hard-to-answer threat and a great combat trick
- ETB bounce protects your permanents from removal and re-triggers your best ETB effects
- Landfall pump pairs with extra-land-drop effects to deal lethal commander damage fast
- Only two mana, so she rebuilds quickly and slots into low-curve white aggro
Weaknesses
- Mono-white means weak card advantage and limited ramp/landfall payoffs
- Pump only lasts until end of turn, so she resets to 1/1 on defense
- Relies on connecting in combat; a single blocker or fog blunts the plan
- No built-in protection beyond flash and self-bounce — vulnerable to board wipes and removal
Key Cards
- Sword of the Animist — Each attack puts a land into play, triggering landfall to pump Ambrosia and ramp simultaneously.
- Felidar Retreat — A premier white landfall payoff that floods the board or pumps your team alongside her.
- Knight of the White Orchid — Cheap white body that fetches an untapped land, giving an extra landfall trigger.
- Restless Prairie / Cultivator Colossus — Effects that drop multiple lands per turn supercharge her +1/+0 into lethal swings.
- Swiftfoot Boots — Hexproof and haste let her attack the turn she lands and shrug off targeted removal.
- Emeria, the Sky Ruin — A landfall-friendly land that grinds back fallen creatures in a Plains-heavy build.
Upgrade Path
Add more reliable extra-land-drop and fetch effects (Sword of the Animist, Archaeomancer's Map, Cultivator Colossus) to maximize landfall triggers, and lean into equipment plus protection (Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves) to make her a consistent voltron threat. Improve card advantage with white staples like Welcoming Vampire, Esper Sentinel, and Smothering Tithe, and tighten the curve so she can pressure life totals before the table stabilizes.

Win Conditions
- ▸Connect with a pumped-up Ambrosia for lethal commander damage
- ▸Go wide with landfall token producers and finish with an anthem or overrun effect
- ▸Grind incremental value through repeated ETB bounces and out-tempo the table
Archetypes
- Voltron — Flash + flying + landfall pumps make her a fast, evasive commander-damage threat with equipment.
- Lands Matter — Extra-land-drop and fetch effects trigger her landfall pump repeatedly while ramping you.
- Blink/Value — Self-bounce plus flicker effects let you abuse white ETB creatures every turn.
- Aggro Tokens — Landfall token makers like Felidar Retreat let her anchor a wide, fast white board.
