Gameplan
Drana is a mono-black aggressive commander that snowballs a wide board: connect with her 2/3 flying first striker and every attacker you control grows with a +1/+1 counter, turning a token swarm into a lethal army within a couple of turns. Curve out cheap evasive threats and Vampires early, protect Drana, and close fast before slower decks set up.
Strengths
- Cheap, evasive, and immediately impactful—flying plus first strike makes her hard to block and gives her counters before defenders trade
- Snowballs a wide board extremely quickly, especially with token producers and other evasive attackers
- Mono-black gives access to elite removal, tutors, and recursion to clear blockers and rebuild
