Narci, Fable Singer
The Commander
Whenever you sacrifice an enchantment, draw a card.
Whenever the final chapter ability of a Saga you control resolves, each opponent loses X life and you gain X life, where X is that Saga's mana value.
Guide
Gameplan
Narci turns enchantments—especially Sagas—into a card-draw and life-drain engine. You flood the board with Sagas and other enchantments, sacrifice them to Narci to refill your hand, and use the lifegain-plus-drain on Saga final chapters to grind opponents out while staying safe behind lifelink.
Strengths
- Powerful repeatable card advantage from sacrificing enchantments
- Built-in incremental drain win and a huge life buffer from lifelink
- Deep, synergistic enchantress/Saga card pool in Abzan colors
- Resilient grind plan that punishes attrition and board wipes
Weaknesses
- Relies on Narci being on the battlefield; vulnerable to repeated removal
- Slow to set up and can be outpaced by fast combo decks
- Saga payoffs are incremental rather than explosive without combos
- Mana and tempo intensive to keep cycling enchantments
Key Cards
- Enduring Vitality — Acts as a mana doubler and an enchantment that survives, fueling repeated Saga and Narci value.
- Calix, Guided by Fate — Copies your enchantments including Sagas to double final-chapter drains and sacrifice fodder.
- Sage's Reverie — A classic enchantress draw engine that scales with your enchantment-heavy board.
- Eidolon of Blossoms — Draws a card for every enchantment you cast, keeping the engine humming.
- Felidar Retreat — Generates value and bodies while contributing to enchantment density.
- Sigil of the New Dawn — Recurs sacrificed creatures and combos with cheap sacrifice loops for value.
Upgrade Path
Add efficient ramp and recursion like Smothering Tithe, Sun Titan, and Starfield of Nyx to keep the enchantment engine flowing and reuse spent Sagas. Tighten the Saga base around high-mana-value Sagas for bigger Narci drains, and include doublers like Calix and Mondrak-style token synergies. Protect Narci with cards such as Heroic Intervention and swap weak filler for fast mana to outpace the format.

Win Conditions
- ▸Repeated Saga final-chapter drains shrinking each opponent's life total
- ▸Aristocrats-style drain payoffs like Blood Artist effects fed by enchantment sacrifices
- ▸Going wide with token-making enchantments and finishing with anthem or alpha strikes
- ▸Out-grinding the table on card advantage and lifelink until a finisher closes
Archetypes
- Enchantress — Narci rewards a critical mass of enchantments with draw and sacrifice value.
- Aristocrats — Sacrificing enchantments triggers draw while Saga drains chip away at the table.
- Sagas Tribal — Final-chapter abilities convert directly into life swings and removal pressure.
- Lifegain/Drain Control — Lifelink plus repeated drains let you grind value and win incrementally.
