Galadriel, Light of Valinor
The Commander
Alliance — Whenever another creature you control enters, choose one that hasn't been chosen this turn —
• Add .
• Put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
• Scry 2, then draw a card.
Guide
Gameplan
Flood the board with creature ETBs to fire Galadriel's Alliance trigger repeatedly each turn, picking up to all three modes (ramp, anthem counters, card advantage) per turn cycle. You snowball board presence and resources, then overwhelm with a wide, pumped-up army or a recurring blink/token engine.
Strengths
- Three-axis advantage engine: ramp, anthem, and card draw all stapled to creatures entering
- Rewards token and blink strategies you'd be running anyway in Bant
- Scry 2 + draw smooths every game and finds your payoffs
- Counters from mode two make even small tokens into real threats
- Bant gives premium protection, blink, and ramp support
Weaknesses
- Needs at least three creatures to ETB per turn to maximize all modes—engine stalls if board is empty
- Relies on the commander; if Galadriel is removed the deck loses its core payoff
- Five mana and no immediate impact the turn she lands
- Modes are once-each-per-turn, capping a single big ETB's value
- Vulnerable to board wipes that reset your go-wide investment
Key Cards
- Avenger of Zendikar — Dumps a swarm of Plant tokens, firing multiple Alliance triggers in one cast.
- Cloudstone Curio — Bounce and replay creatures to loop ETBs and refill Alliance modes across turns.
- Panharmonicon — Doubles your creature ETB triggers, though note Alliance modes are still once-each per turn—pairs better with other ETB payoffs.
- Intangible Virtue — Stacks with the +1/+1 counter mode to push your token army over the top.
- Conjurer's Closet — Free repeatable blink each end step to keep Alliance ticking.
- Eldrazi Displacer — Repeatable blink for value and tempo, retriggering ETBs with white mana.
- Craterhoof Behemoth — Its own ETB triggers Alliance and it converts the wide pumped board into lethal damage.
Upgrade Path
Add more cheap, repeatable ETB creatures and free blink outlets (Restoration Angel, Ephemerate, Brago) so you reliably hit all three Alliance modes each turn. Tighten the mana with Bant staples (Cultivate, Farseek, fast mana) and add a clean finisher like Craterhoof Behemoth or Overwhelming Stampede to convert the wide board. Include protection like Heroic Intervention and Teferi's Protection to defend your go-wide investment from sweepers.

Win Conditions
- ▸Go-wide alpha strike buffed by repeated +1/+1 counter triggers and Craterhoof-style overrun
- ▸Recurring blink/token value engine that buries opponents in card advantage and bodies
- ▸Beatdown with an ever-growing counter-stacked army
Archetypes
- Tokens — Each token entering is a separate Alliance trigger and counter targets, snowballing fast.
- Blink — Bant flicker effects repeatedly re-enter creatures to refresh Alliance modes every turn.
- +1/+1 Counters — The second mode anthems your whole board, synergizing with proliferate and counter payoffs.
- Ramp / Big Mana — The
mode fuels massive green payoffs and overrun finishers.
