Gameplan

Jasmine rewards a deck full of vanilla (no-ability) creatures by ramping them out and making them evasive against most blockers. You flood the board with cheap, ability-less beaters, buff the whole team with anthems and pump effects, and swing for lethal since opposing creatures with abilities literally can't block them. It's an aggressive, on-curve go-wide GW deck that closes fast before slower tables stabilize.

Strengths

  • Built-in evasion: most relevant blockers have abilities, so your team is effectively unblockable
  • Jasmine's mana acceleration lets you deploy vanilla creatures ahead of curve
  • Cheap, efficient vanilla bodies tend to be high stats for their mana value
  • Resilient to spot removal because your threats are individually cheap and replaceable

Weaknesses

  • Vanilla creatures offer zero interaction, card advantage, or resilience on their own
  • Board wipes are devastating since you commit heavily to the battlefield
  • The 'no abilities' restriction excludes nearly all of the best utility and value creatures
  • Walls and vanilla blockers (which have no abilities) can still chump your attackers
  • Removing Jasmine slows your ramp and turns off the evasion clause

  • Isamaru, Hound of Konda — A premier one-drop vanilla beater—2/2 for one that benefits fully from anthems and evasion.
  • Kalonian Tusker — A 3/3 for two with no abilities, exactly the efficient vanilla body Jasmine wants to cheat out.
  • Watchwolf — A 3/3 for GW vanilla that perfectly fits Jasmine's restricted mana and evasion plan.
  • Glorious Anthem — Team-wide pumps multiply your wide board of unblockable vanillas into lethal damage.
  • Cathars' Crusade — Snowballs counters every time a creature enters, turning a vanilla swarm into a game-ending army.
  • Overrun — A finisher that grants trample and a huge pump to push your evasive board for the kill.

Upgrade Path

Lean into the lowest-curve, highest-stat vanilla creatures and pack multiple anthem and overrun effects to convert your board into damage quickly. Add equipment like Swiftfoot Boots and protective instants to dodge board wipes, plus card draw that doesn't rely on creature abilities (Garruk's Uprising works since the creatures draw, not the cards). Round out with green ramp (Sol Ring, Llanowar Elves, Skyshroud Claim) so you aren't fully dependent on Jasmine's restricted mana to keep deploying threats.
